Week 4- We found out we're pregnant.

Sunday July 5 we decided to take (two) pregnancy tests and they both turned up positive. What a joy! We have now been trying to become pregnant for a year. One year of struggling through each cycle. One year of seeming infertility. One year of disappointing periods. ALL the glory in this answer to prayer we give to God. That's what John 15:7-8 teaches us: "If you abide in me and my words abide in you, ask whatever you wish, and it shall be done for you. (v. 8) By this is my Father glorified, that you bear much fruit, and so prove to be my disciples." When we pray and he answers our prayer, we give God the glory and what we receive enables us to bear much fruit. In this case, the fruit is a baby who we want to disciple and raise to follow Christ and lead others to Christ.

We now are officially into our 5th week of pregnancy. She hasn't felt too much nausia, but if she doesn't eat at least every other hour, she starts to feel sick to her stomach. This is actually the way we started to wonder if we were pregnant. She started feeling sick to her stomach, becoming hungry an hour after eating, peeing a lot more often, and noticing more "emotional diversity." Because we have been trying for a year, the last couple cycles, we stopped charting her temperature, etc. (see Taking Charge of Your Fertility)
