Same mistake others have made- off by 2 weeks!

We were off two weeks. It has been 12 weeks of "pregnancy," not whatever we were thinking. We were calculating from the point where the swimmers meet a new friend, which is off since pregnancy starts from the first day of the woman's last cycle. That means we are supposed to say 12 weeks, not 10. This is not critical, it just means we have a bigger baby than we thought!

And our baby is growing so well! He/she is actually about 9 cm long and lives in a little home about the size of a grapefruit. We went to the Midwife on Monday and got to hear the heart beat. This was awesome! It was about 170-180 beats per minute, which is very healthy at this point. The heart rate will slow as the heat grows and works more efficiently.

Now, for those of you who are my aunt's son and are also looking forward to being a dad... Check out Pregtastic, a great podcast to learn about all the things your wife has known since she was 4 and wanted to be a mommy. This podcast will explain why your wife is nauseous, itchy, or overjoyed, depending on the hour, along with helpful ways to make it a happy nine months. Check out the video below to see where our baby has been the last couple months.
